I am going to be at the LA Rock’N Comic Con this weekend (May 28-30) at the Pasadena Convention Center in Pasadena, California and will be set up in Artist Alley booth #914 with Shawn Granger from King Tractor Press. I’ll be there showing off artwork and new Nifty Comics merchandise from the Cadre and ElfSong, along with sketching like a madman. In fact, I’m doing free sketchcards for anyone that comes up and recites a really cool dirty limerick.
For more information on the show, go to: http://rockincomiccon.com/
Drop by, pick up a sketch or a DeadPooh print and say “Hi!”

The BIG news…HUGE news…this week is that the SGV Comic Book Art Academy will be manning a booth at the Frank & Son Collectible Show in the City of Industry, here in the beautiful San Gabriel Valley of California. The F&S Show is a weekly comic book/collectible super show (think indoor mall on steroids, filled with comic books, toys, trading cards and all things collectible). We’ll have our own booth near the front entrance, where teachers and staff from the Comic Book Art Academy will be giving free workshops, doing portfolio reviews, sketching and giving information on the school itself to all comers.
If you are interested in drawing, writing or publishing comic books, then make sure to drop by and say “hello!” We’ll be appearing there twice weekly (Wednesday and Saturday) beginning on September 23, 2009.
